ROBIO-EX, the First Robotic Assisted Pain Management Technology was introduced by BGS Global Hospitals in Karnataka. Dr R Madhan Kumar of BGS Global Hospitals said, “With the introduction of robotics in the field of Interventional Pain Management, it will hugely benefit the patients suffering from chronic pain due to medical conditions like cancer, knee pain, neck pain, low back pain and chronic headaches etc. Interventional pain management uses techniques, such as injections and radiofrequency rhizotomy, to directly address the source of the pain. The treatment plan is tailored to the condition and degree of pain. Robotic guided interventional pain management has been weighed heavily than the conventional methods. The accuracy, safety and duration of the procedure are highly commendable using robot.”
